Riedhammer Will Supply Foam Glass Production to Norway

Riedhammer/DE will deliver a foam glass production plant consisting of two fast-firing tunnel kilns with belt conveyance, as well as the associated mixing and dosing technology for the production of foam glass gravel.

Over the past 10 years Riedhammer GmbH has developed and supplied equipment for the production of foam glass. Recent references in this product range are: Recifa a.s./CZ (one production line, 2009), as well as Uusioaines Oy/FI (two production lines, 2010/2011). The new project will be realized with Norsk Glassgjenvinning/NO. The production start of the plants is planned for the first quarter of 2012. The new technology enables a maximum degree of production automation with low investment costs. The kilns are designed to minimize energy losses and to make the best possible use of waste heat for further process steps in order to obtain very good specific energy consumption levels (10/2011).
