Saudi Ceramics Completes Factory Facility

Saudi Ceramics has completed the final phase of its 4th tile factory and started pilot production at the new facility. The factory will produce 9 Mm² of ceramic tiles or porcelain tiles. Saudi Ceramics and other suppliers of cement, steel and aluminum are attempting to capitalize on the strong construction activity in Saudi Arabia that has been mostly funded by the government. In the first half of 2011, USD 31,68 billion worth of construction projects had been awarded in countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, of which the largest share was in Saudi Arabia, valued at USD 11,35 billion (10/2011).
